Scooper Speaks

All you never wanted to know about me.

My name is Scooper, aka Stacy, and I’m addicted to books. I love them. I love the smell and the weight of them in my hands. I love that I can escape into a world and live out impossible scenarios with gorgeous men. I love the idea of them. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn’t want to live in a world without them.

But with this feeling comes another urge. One to share my feelings about the books I read. I like to give an honest opinion and it doesn’t matter if I’ve been given an advanced copy or if I’ve bought the book. If I don’t like the book, I’ll share why I didn’t like it or attempt to. I will never say that I enjoyed a book that I didn’t like.

I don’t review every book I read. If I ask for an ARC or am offered an ARC (and accept) I’ll review it. Negative or positive, the review will show up. I’m expecting most to be positive as, I’ve read the blurbs or about the author, and they sound appealing to me. I’m not being forced to read them.

Now about me. I live in Indiana. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with emphasis in literature and writing from IU and I work as an obituary clerk for a newspaper.

I've worked at a variety of jobs including: a jewelry store, bookstore, Band-Aid factory, metal fabricating factory, anodizing factory and as a temporary secretary. I've met a ton of people, in all kinds of situations so I often comment about the realty found in the imaginary worlds I read about.

I'm a single mother of two. I've loved and lost. I've hated and survived. I've made really good friends and wouldn't give any of it up.

Welcome to the newest chapter in my life. I'm hoping to keep up the trend, well not the losses, but lovin', survivin' and meeting great people.
